CARACTERÍSTICAS
Es un arbusto tropical que alcanza entre 3-5 metros de altura.
USOS
Produce racimos de frutos estrellados con cinco puntas. Son comestibles, dulces, de color verde cuando están nuevos y posteriormente cuando maduran se tornan amarillos.
Son ricos en vitaminas A y C y minerales como el fósforo y el potasio. Se utilizan para elaborar mermeladas y también se preparan con otras frutas al igual que en jugos y vinagretas.
Las hojas en decocción son muy bien valoradas como coadyuvantes en los tratamientos para tratar la diabetes, la hipertensión y las afecciones del corazón y los vasos sanguíneos.

It produces clusters of starry fruits with five points. They are edible, sweet, green when they are new and later when they are ripe turn yellow.
